I use many types of brushes in different price ranges, from the good old Revlon drugstore (still around after many, many years) to the expensive Jane Iredale, as well as my favorite brushes in the middle (RealTechniques and Japonesque). Almost every brush I have has its own value as long as I respect how that particular tool works best. BUT - I am very picky about my foundation brush as it forms the basis for everything else. My current foundation brush, worn out from repeated almost daily use for the past 10 years, is The Handi by Jane Iredale. It turned out to be quite expensive to replace, so I decided to look around first - and damn, I'm glad I did! The Beauty Junkees Flat Top Kabuki is by far the best and most versatile brush I've ever used — no matter the price. . When I pulled it out of the box I was shocked because while I was hoping based on other reviews I just wasn't expecting the level of quality. Weight and balance: perfect. The handle feels good in your hand, with a very strong brush head that fits snugly enough that it won't come loose if you press hard on it. It's a big brush, but not too big - I carry it in my makeup bag every day. Feel: Doesn't scratch, this is one of the softest brushes I own and feels like teddy bear fur! Connection: no. I've been using it every day for several weeks and haven't noticed a single hair. Mediums: Works exclusively for any type of foundation (BB cream, cream or lotion foundation - and mineral powders which I use most). Also works with setting powder. Suitable for vegans - yes. All synthetic (surprised, I thought I could never give up my squirrel hair comb!) Cleaning: not difficult at all. A drop of olive oil and soap, rinse off - and it literally dries in 2-3 hours! (The brush comes with instructions for use and care - very practical. I also used normal brush cleaner and it works great.) Price: incredibly cheap. This means that every girl on a budget can afford to have at least one awesome makeup brush in her arsenal! This kabuki is an incredible value. Do not miss!
