The Dermalogy by Neogen Real Ferment Micro Toner Essence is an affordable chemical peel ($22 for 5 ounces at the time of this writing) that's gentle on even the most sensitive skin is enough. I suffer from rosacea attacks when I encounter something that's too dry or remotely irritating. Everything I use these days has to be gentle, although I still deal with congested/acne-prone skin. This toner is a nice combination of fermented ingredients + low levels of BHA, PHA, LHA and AHA. I don't recommend mixing it with medicated cleansers or treatments (like vitamin C or retinol) just because you don't want to overdo it with exfoliating/breaking the skin barrier. Instead, I suggest using it in your morning routine and something else in PM. In my case, in the mornings (every other day) I cleanse my skin with a mild no-nonsense cleanser and apply it with a soaked cotton pad (then apply a good moisturizer and sunscreen). In PM I use my vitamin A derivative for anti-aging and acne control. Overall I am very happy with the quality and application of this liquid scrub. I can't physically use it and it's gentle enough that I can use it several times a week without flare-ups, redness or sensitivity. Does not dry out the skin, rich in B vitamins and other beneficial antioxidants.
