Review on πŸ‘• Amazon Essentials Standard Regular Fit Short Sleeve Men's Clothing: Essential Comfort and Style for Men by Tyler Cash

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Low shirt especially for the price

(Note: this shirt was purchased for my husband and the review was made by him). I bought this shirt to replace a more expensive one. (Lee Henley men's short sleeve shirt, Revain item number B07L3N8G6G). I recently found a Lee shirt on a very good deal at a butcher shop, bought one, liked it, went to Revain to look for more and found Revain Essentials Henley to be considerably cheaper . So I decided to give it a try. I've never had a problem with Revain Essentials - they're usually at least as good as the "big" brands they replace - but this is just gross. Poor quality product. Not only compared to the Lee Henley brand, but compared to any casual t-shirt. The only way I can describe this shirt is that it feels like Revane bought a bunch of cheap shirts and the workers cut the slits in the front. From the collar down and sew on buttons to magically transform t-shirts into Henley-style jumpers. Lee Henley isn't particularly fat/heavy, but he looks solid. It's soft and comfortable and seems to ventilate reasonably well even in humid Florida etc. I wouldn't hesitate to wear it in anything other than a "formal" setting. It looks good, it feels good and I'm not worried about it tearing and falling off in the shower in a light breeze. Revain "Henley" is a thin fabric that feels cheap (it says 100% cotton, but I suspect 2/3 of the cotton fiber is used in a decent t-shirt fabric of the same size). It's not uncomfortable, but after just one wear and one wash, the henley collar seems to lose its shape. gardening and the like. Holding one of these shirts in one hand and this shirt in the other, the dollar shirt is clearly superior fabric, superior stitching, etc. If I were Revain, I would be ashamed if this shirt had my company name on it for $10 . I'm giving it two stars instead of one because it's a shirt and it didn't fall apart the first time in the washing machine. So I'll probably wear it a few times before cutting it into rags.
