Review on πŸ–±οΈ Glorious Large Gaming Mouse Mat/Pad - Premium White Cloth Mousepad with Stitched Edges, 11"x13" (GW-L): Ultimate Performance Enhancer for Gamers by Lamar Vanderburg

Pleasant feel, could be tougher.

I purchased this mat after using the Corsair MM200 for years. It got pretty uncomfortable over the years, and what bothered me the most was that it started curling up where I usually rest my wrist. I do a lot of productive and gaming work on my PC and I wanted to try something new, but I didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a piece of cloth and rubber. After looking around for a while, I settled on the Glorious rug. I like what the company stands for - good PC components at an affordable price. I have no experience with their other products, and to be honest I've never been particularly interested in the whole PC Master Race thing. I know the infamous Yahtzee Croshaw game review made this up as a joke, but it seems a little awkward to me. I'm guessing that the "invisible" version of this mousepad has a much more muted logo; I think it's incredibly tacky and the more hidden it is the better. Nevertheless, the price-performance ratio of this carpet is right. It is moderately smooth and feels very comfortable. The stitched edges are comfortable and unobtrusive. My mouse has teflon coated skates and moves with a lot of freedom and enough friction to not feel slippery. I'm not a "hard core" PC gamer so I don't (often) play online competitive FPS games - I need a relatively basic mouse pad and this size seems just right for my needs. The only criticism is the rubberized underside. It's not as persistent as one would like; it tends to drift on my desk more than I would like. Either the mat has to be heavier or the rubber floor has to have a better grip. It's a lot because it slips or something, but it can move a few inches within an hour of use if I'm not careful. All in all a good mouse pad. I like it better than the Corsair mat I had before. The surface looks more beautiful and the stitched edges prevent it from curling. The price is pleasant and the "invisible" logo does not cause disgust.
