I bought white twill. Beautifully woven. Light white color. I followed the care instructions that came with it. I washed it in cold water on a gentle cycle and tumble dried on low before use. It came out perfect. Normal amount of cotton fluff in the dryer. It doesn't shed any lint, which I can tell when using it. Was hesitant to buy because of some reviews. I would buy more as a gift. Maybe there are problems with colors or other fabrics? This style is definitely a winner. I even measured and the size was exactly as advertised. A note on softness - cotton is naturally soft, but these blankets are woven, so the weave creates stiffness. I have had other cotton blankets that get softer with every wash, this is also stated in the care instructions. I also used liquid fabric softener when washing.
