Was hoping for a "shinier" white color to match my current utensils, but these bowls were more of a light cream color. While the bowls themselves were the perfect size, they were a bit thicker around the rim than my old Ikea pasta bowls. I also noticed that the bottom of the bowl (inside) wasn't a smooth transition into the side wall - there's a small indentation about the width of a finger around the edge of the transition, and then the center goes up in the mold of sorts elevated platform. . Essentially you have an area where the sauce/water/or other liquid tends to drain and form a ring as it settles in the bowl rather than staying there (not ideal for a specific presentation placement). return as soon as possible.
