This speaker surprised me. I just needed something cheap for my upcoming hike, and forty dollars seemed like a good price for a waterproof speaker. This speaker comes with a hard-shell carrying case that you can put in your backpack. The sound is powerful, clear and very loud. I launch this speaker with two clicks on my Android phone and it's pretty loud. The woofers also give the sound a nice boost, which is valuable as I mainly listen to electronic music. Of course, this isn't a replacement for a true subwoofer, but the speaker's clarity and punch make it great for this type of music. The speaker comes with an extra cable and a charging cable and, to my great surprise, a small carabiner that I used to hang it from a tree. I had no trouble connecting to the speaker. The only thing that bothers me is that the plus and minus buttons are long-pressed to change the volume. This means you have to hold down the +/- buttons and then release them when you reach the volume you want. This is normal, however there is a delay before the volume adjusts and as a result you are often out of range. My suggestion would be to make long press as track change and short press as volume.
