Review on 🧥 Columbia Girls' Alpine Action Jacket: Stylish and Functional Outerwear for Adventure-loving Girls by Chris Doe

My grandmother wanted to buy our daughter a new winter coat for the holidays. It worked like perfect timing because my daughter's old coat (which came out with the inner lining) decided to unzip. Looking for a new one for myself I came across Revain (hey, I won't be shopping anywhere personally this time of year. No way!) and chose this one for our daughter. She is now 6 years old and confidently wears a dress size 8. I went down a medium size (size 10/12 according to Columbia website) hoping to get more out of the coat than the rest of this season. I ordered it on Sunday and it arrived today (Thursday) although it wasn't expected before December 27th - January 4th. A few things. right out of the box, I got worried. While the color is nice, for some reason I was expecting a lighter, vibrant blue. I would say it's more periwinkle, almost purple. My daughter chose "blue" and can be picky about colors. This coat is like no other. This coat is not like a nice warm heavy winter coat. It feels like a light jacket. In addition, it appears small due to its lightness. I was afraid he wouldn't be big enough to grow at all. Well my dear daughter knew the package was here and ran down the steps curious to see (and therefore try on) what was inside. Here my opinion has changed. First she saw the color and was blown away, it "looks like blue and purple, my 2 favorite colors!" and then she opened it up to find there was "some orange and a kind of pink, two of my other favorite colors!" Me guess all concerns about the color are gone, right? So she put it on. Fits perfectly. Just a little big to go small but not too big and bulky. My daughter actually used the words "comfortably roomy". Well my house isn't very warm during the day and we got home before the house had reset the temp for her, it was maybe 64* here when she turned it on. After about 2 minutes she had to take it off because she got a little hot. Although she twirled and twirled and mostly wore a new coat in the living room. We'll have to see how it plays out these New York winters. Will definitely come back and update it after we've worn it for a bit. ;) UPDATE: Well my daughter wore this coat to school yesterday and SHE left some reviews: 1 - She was cold on the way to school in the morning. (However, she refused to wear a hat/scarf/gloves and it was very windy. Her chills may have been caused by improper tying.) so much space! 3 - She was "super warm at recess" (That says a lot to me after her morning chills because the playground tends to be a few degrees more extreme - hotter in summer / colder in winter - than usual. I haven't yet figured out how/why.)4 - On the way home from school she felt fine and comfortable despite the 31° temperature for that walk, the hood was up and her hands were in her pockets, and there were no complaints despite an invitation to them. Yes, I would recommend this coat. We are happy. ;) Actually I'm looking for the same coat style for myself right now. ;D
