Review on Authentic Japanese Sometsuke Bowl Set: Exquisite Bowls for Delightful Dining Experience by Erik Barela

We have two sets of these shells. Believe it or not, we bought the first set in Tokyo, Japan when we arrived to celebrate my daughter's pregnancy and we bought the second set when we returned to Tokyo the following year to catch up to help the birth. We've loved these bowls since we saw them. at a store in Tokyo and they turned out great. We use them at least once a day. Dishwasher and microwave - no problem. I order this set because two of the shells have cracked over the years. Not bad my grandson is 8 now so they are holding up very well. Also, these bowls are very cheap compared to two plane tickets back and forth to Tokyo.
