Review on NeatPack Versatile Shoulder Crossbody Backpack by Dallas Grover

Multiple compartments use space efficiently

I have traveled to over 40 countries and often for 2-5 months on the road. The savviest travelers travel light, especially when traveling across multiple countries. That's why I rarely travel with luggage. Instead, I use a JanSport Odyssey 38L backpack and a daypack or sling bag. I was looking for a better shoulder bag than the Swiss Gear I currently have. It cannot be knocked over as it is built strong. However, the problem lies in the size and number of compartments. Because of these issues, I chose a NeatPack Sling Bag. The NeatPack is approximately 2" tall and 3" wide. I don't know the difference in liters, but I can say with certainty that the NeatPack holds significantly more stuff than the Swiss Gear Sling Bag. As for the pockets, NeatPack applies again, meaning the Swiss Gear has only 1 main compartment with 3 tiny zipped "pockets" that can only be used for very small items such as loose change, keys, smartphone etc. has a small zipped pocket on the strap, but too small to hold a smartphone à la NeatPack case on the strap. Plus, it has a cup holder that's practically useless. . . unlike the NeatPack, which actually looks like it will fit in a water bottle. The NeatPack, on the other hand, has the following: 1. One large compartment and two smaller but roomy compartments (each with sleeves/another inner compartment with zip). bags; 2. RFID "hidden pocket" on the back of the backpack for storing valuables and preventing identity theft; and 3. the aforementioned smartphone pocket on the strap. In short, this is a killer shoulder bag, similar to my Jansport Odyssey backpack - with maximum use of pockets and compartments. Finally, I would like to say that I am delighted with the bag. The NeatPack makes efficient use of the space in the shoulder bag. This is where many manufacturers fail. the proof is in the pudding. In particular, I haven't taken it on a trip yet. This will be fixed in a few days as I travel for the next 2 months to April 6th as I plan to hit the big island of Hawaii and then head to Vietnam. On the back I will indicate if this shoulder bag is durable and well made.
