I have three mDesign clear storage boxes in different sizes and am very happy with them. Shiny clear plastic. I use them to store rarely used toiletries and medical items. They fit nicely on my narrow open shelves in the bathroom; easy-to-open hinged lid protects against dust; and consumables are easy to find but won't become visible if you put colored paper in the box.
