To be honest I wasn't sure if I wanted to get this or not because some of the reviews were terrible I need it for end tables and it was very easy. I even assembled it in 10 minutes. Very durable. I really like it. I'm glad I bought it. I really don't know what was said about it. negative feedback. Mine wasn't damaged though based on your local post office clerks I think so as mine has been very well cared for
