Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Vanerdun Oculus Rift S PC-Powered VR Gaming Headset Case โ€“ VR Protective Bag for Travel by Ebony Shaw

An almost perfect bag for my needs but only almost

I recently traded in the tragic headband for my Oculus Quest for a new Halo Band from GoQuestVR. The strap is great but I can no longer use my really excellent L3 Tech Hard Carry Case as my Quest no longer fits. I really liked the Oculus Go, namely the decent internal zippered pocket for cables and other Quest accessories. /Quest and their controllers fit snugly in the case when it's closed, and I love the rectangular storage space for the small headphone case I bought. It's a large zippered bag that's easy for me to store my many cables and Quest USB charger. What made me decide to buy this case. While my Quest is a bit large even for this Halo carrying case (due to design differences between the Rift S and Quest), the top and bottom of the case are joined together, making it flexible enough to easily zip up. I don't take my Quest with me, but I'd say it's sturdy enough (though not very well padded) that if you drop it, it takes quite a bit of impact to damage the headset. In general, almost ideal. So why only four stars? Because the great bag in my suitcase wasn't sewn very well. The case has hardly been used since I received it in mid-September but when I opened it up last night I found the bag had a neat hole in the front seam as if the thread holding it together had straightened solved. Luckily, with a little sewing distortion (ever tried to sew an already attached bag that *can't* be twisted back together?), the bag can again accommodate my Quest's cords, charger, and cleaning wipes. But at nearly $40, I certainly expected my "perfect" case to hold up better. Can I recommend the Vanerdun case for Oculus Rift S? Yes I can because I really think this is the best solution for my needs. But if you don't think you need a cool, well-placed case for your Rift S or Quest, you can opt for something less expensive.

Pros
  • Equipped with a strong top handle and detachable straps for easy carrying. Adjustable shoulder straps, adapted to the needs of different groups of people. With this bag you can take your virtual reality kit with you wherever you go, traveling or going to the office.
Cons
  • Expensive
