I would highly recommend this soothing, hydrating balm

I received a travel jar of Surfer Salve in a nail art gift box earlier this year and as soon as I tried it I was hooked. First, it smells like lavender, one of my favorite scents. It's not a strong or overpowering scent (I hate strong smells on my face or hands). Applying this ointment to my nails regularly keeps my skin hydrated and healthy looking and I get almost no burrs. The balm also contains tea tree oil, which is said to be antiseptic and antifungal, so it can help prevent fungal infections around the nail. (Lavender essential oil is said to have similar properties.) I like that the only animal-based ingredient is beeswax and the ingredients are fairly simple. I also use this ointment for minor cuts and scrapes and it is soothing. I also like to use it occasionally as a lip balm (total lip balm addiction, here! :) ), although I find the scent a bit strong on my lips. I really love this product and try to always have a can with me! The travel size is small enough to easily fit in a pocket or purse, and a large 4-ounce can is ideal for my bedside table. I was a little worried about the product melting in my bag in the Florida heat, but that wasn't a problem. I think that's one of the benefits of using a product developed in Hawaii! :) (I've also heard it's great for tanning, but I hope I never need it for that! I'll try if I can!) I highly recommend this stuff if you're not against one of the Ingredients are allergic. .
