I bought this for my 9 year old and I may use it as often as he does. It's very sturdy and just a fun way for your child (or you if you are a small person like me) to get some extra exercise. We bounce down the hall and around the house on it. It is also just tall enough that my son can use it as a yoga ball to sit on while he's at the computer, so that was a nice bonus that I didn't think of.
