My wrists hurt with too much resistance. and then they don't work well and have little natural power until they heal. My old palm rests didn't meet demand and had to be replaced. They were definitely more complex and I knew it would be a great support. My biggest concern was whether having your wrists actively involved throughout the game would interfere with playing hockey. It only took me a few minutes to get used to them and they gave me the confidence to play that I've been lacking lately. Strong support with flexibility. I wear hockey gloves over them and they play great. I'm not sure if I'll use them for other sports like basketball or tennis where the brace touches the racquet or ball directly, but yes, hockey, lacrosse, baseball and other sports where you use a glove. Highly recommended.
