Worst cooling blanket I've tried

The cooling side is the typical "feel cool" feature of these duvets. However, the other side, which should be less cool, scratches terribly. Doesn't get softer even after multiple washes. There's no way I would want that near my skin. It's like trying to hug wool. ABOMINABLE. I have tried about 4 cooling blankets so far and this is the worst of them all. There are many better ones on the market in the same price range.
