They stick to any surface and leave no residue when they need to be removed. They still stick at least once after being removed (I haven't removed them twice yet). My only gripe is that I wish the inside of the cord loop had a non-stick coating, I really can't pull cords through. I have to unplug the cable, move it where I want it, and then plug it back into the holder. However, the cables slide in and out easily, which is nice. They actually look decent and take up very little space compared to some cord organizers on the market.
