There are several different mouse families available from Microsoft, and it is easy to become confused among them. These families include the Bluetooth mouse, the Bluetooth ergonomic mouse, the wireless mobile mouse, the sculpt mouse, and the arc mouse, among others. As a user of multiple product lines, including the Arc touch mouse, I have to say that even the most inexpensive small soft rodents are of quite acceptable build quality. However, it is important to understand that Microsoft, like all classic vendors, deliberately cuts down on the functionality and usability of the lower lines in order to sell more expensive products to customers with higher expectations. As for the basic mouse, I have no problems, my wife is pleased, and the connection with the Bluetooth of the laptop remains working perfectly; a distinct (and more girly) plus is the extensive range of color schemes available.
