In general I am completely satisfied. Although it's really just a keyboard dust cover and not a "waterproof" case, I feel better because having a drink on the keyboard gives me plenty of time to turn my Mac upside down and liquid or to avoid sticky keys. .This is perfect for MBAir 2017. The thin plastic lid has a matte finish rather than a clear glass look, making the keyboard's glossy black keys feel more like a medium gray, and when the light reflects off the angel, the keyboard shines with the surrounding one to merge into silver windows. The texture of the cover differs from the feel of normal keyboard keys, but still feels comfortable. I'm aware that I'm typing through plastic because the plastic takes the shape of my fingers when pressed, but the lid holds its shape instantly and each key is easy to press without affecting the keys next to the one you're typing. I found that when typing quickly and using spaced keys, I could feel a slight movement of the cover as a whole, but the cover stayed perfectly aligned with the keys. I noticed that the plastic softened at 85 degrees Fahrenheit, but not sticky or rubbery. The keyboard sound is more muted and the backlighting under the keys is dimmed. I found no evidence of the lid touching the screen when the laptop is closed. Good fit, functionality and materials. I like that it muffles the typing noise and softens the light under the keys.
