Such a mattress topper is very nice to have. Too bad we didn't buy it long ago and I shouldn't have gone to bed with socks. Only our feet were cold so I bought a double and laid it across on the bottom of our double bed. So it only warms our feet and not the rest. Works great. The coil wires are very thin. We put it under our regular mattress topper and don't even know if it's there other than warmth. Heats VERY well. It has 10 temperature settings, but we haven't had more than 3 since we've had it. My only gripe is the temperature dial. It's big and round, smooth and slippery. It has a few tiny bumps that don't really help you grip. I have to hold it with two hands and turn it with both thumbs to set the temperature. Luckily we don't have to do this too often. It turns on and off with a simple push of a button and remembers where you set it the night before. It turns off automatically after 10 hours, so you don't have to worry about forgetting it in the morning.
