I did not realize how good our old paper towel holder was until I got and tried to install this one.I have an old paper towel holder that is metal and it is so much better than this one, in fact I thought when I got this one it looks like it will be better, I was wrong. There are several reasons for this my old paper towel holder is metal and so much better built because it is metal and this one is plastic, the difference when put side by side is very obvious. I tried replacing it with the one we have now which stands vertical and has a base to set on the table and it works so much better. If you want or need a cheap paper towel holder then this is the way to go but I can't recommend this paper towel holder compared to better ones I still have but if you need a very cheap or simple paper towel holder then this is the way to go. That old saying about you don't realize how good your old paper towel holder is until you think about replacing it with a newer plastic model is true. Ugh! If you want to have a good review simply take this same design and make it out of better (not plastic) materials and perhaps give it a stand option so it can sit on a table or nee held on the wall but either way please make it out of better materials in the future please. If you are happy with simple and cheap buy it, buy it now!This would make a really good gag gift for a chef or cook.Good day & God Bless.Randall M. RueffK9RMR
