I bought a new Samsung Tab A for my living room and wanted to add a docking station so it's always charged when I want to use it. This docking station seemed perfect. I'm not sure why they never did anything for the old USB connector (it has a new USB Type-C connector). Unfortunately there is a design flaw. The connector does not end flush with the back, instead the table lies at an angle on the back. The tablet actually fits between the port and the backplate, and that's where it always lands if you try to plug it in with one hand. I'm not sure why that is, but the bottom line is that it takes a lot of trying to line up the tablet with the connector, and you definitely need two hands. Every time I use the tablet by taking it out of the dock, I dread the time I have to put it back in.
