The first year of Christmas preparations in my new house. The living room has fresh hardwood floors and I'm concerned about watering the fresh wood and protecting the floor. My wife and I decided to switch to artificial. Mistakes have been made. The purchase was based on shipping time and this item is of such poor quality that I totally understand hundreds of dollars worth of artificial trees. It's been years since I've had an artificial Christmas tree and I'm stunned by how much the quality has dropped. Half way and the base screw has warped threads so I have 2 screws left and it wobbles like Dickens. My last canopy tree had actual hinges, and this one has fine fiber-wrapped wire with no slots. It's going in the trash and I'm going to get a real one. Please avoid.
