I have ordered mattresses and other products with a smell, such as mattresses. B. a carpet. It smells but not that noticeable and goes away. It's a highly suppressive chemical, not just a scent I knew I couldn't inhale all night and put in the sheets with my head on it. I tried washing it, which I know you shouldn't do. But I had no choice. Don't try, just send the pillow back, not worth it and the foam will start to crumble. It's not worth the price, it comes in a fancy thick box which isn't necessary. I recommend the manufacturer to spend extra money on a pillow and not a box. I'll use it now that it's clean, but it doesn't take an hour of work to get the product where it's even needed. For that reason I would rate it as low. This is for neck support and good sleep so as not to pollute our bedroom.
