Great backpack from Osprey. I love the minimalist design in black. Feels like it will last a long time. With a capacity of 28 liters, it will definitely meet my needs in a bag. I updated my 2012 North Face Borealis and immediately noticed that the Apogee was lighter. The space is also better distributed in the sense that it's longer than it is wide, so it fits my torso better and feels less bulky. My two minor complaints: (1) I wish there was a way to hide the hip belt, just like the Borealis. In the city or with a backpack of this size, you never need a hip belt. Instead, I removed it entirely; and (2) the straps appear to be much closer together than on the Borealis. I noticed that when wearing it, it pinches at the back of the shirt collar. The strap may loosen a bit over time. I can live with that. And one more thing, although this is less of a complaint than a suggestion. I would like to have another large pocket in the outer compartment. There is just enough space left for three small pockets that they could at least add another large pocket or something. But the tablet case makes up for it. Overall I would give 4/5. Happy with the purchase considering I got it for less than $100.
