When I opened the box I was surprised by two things. First, how purple the ceiling looked. Despite mentioning indigo in the description, the images seemed nicer despite appearing bright purple in certain lighting conditions. I was also pleasantly pleased with the addition of two matching pillowcases to complete the comforter. While one side of the duvet and pillowcases is patterned, the other side is plain white. The comforter fitted my bed well, with extra length on both sides and at the end of the bed for me to tuck in. What I did notice is that the duvet itself was a bit stiff straight out of the bag (as were the pillowcases). ) so I can run it in the washing machine to see if it gets softer (since I've already washed the pillowcases and they are softer).
