Review on Lenovo ThinkVision M14 Anti Glare Monitor, 1920X1080 Screen by Patrick Cibrian

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Just a portable ThinkPad display.

I knew what I was getting into in terms of screen quality when I bought it after seeing several reviews and having used ThinkPads for decades. The brightness isn't impressive and it has the faded appearance that ThinkPads usually have. Anyway, as a portable monitor, it's fine. It fits in my laptop bag with my laptop and even comes with its own handy pouch. My two main problems: the desk. The wire keeps wanting to twist or bend and pop out. Not exactly sure why as most power supplies have more wattage and much thinner wire. I'll probably replace it with something simpler. 2 - The power pass-through feature is actually more of a gimmick, which is a shame because it was one of the features I really liked about this monitor and one of the reasons I decided to buy it. Half the time it randomly stops transmitting power and you basically have to turn the power off and back on all the way to get it through again. This caused me to almost run out of battery several times, even though I was connected to the mains.
