I actually use them on a wall shelf above my art desk. They are strong enough to hold paint bottles and media cans. One of them is holding a 10 8 ounce bottle of paint! I've never been afraid of them breaking or getting a little wobbly like some of the other products I've tried. You can fill them with supplies and know at a glance what's inside because they're transparent. I also bought some smaller ones (6 x 6) and they are great, but they don't have any deeper sides than these. They are a bit expensive but for me it was worth it because I think they will last forever. There are so many other places I could use them like pantry, fridge, linen closet, cabinets or drawers that they are supposedly made for.
