Review on ๐Ÿฒ 2 Pack Pyrex 6-Cup 7211 Rectangular Glass Food Storage Containers with Red Plastic Lids by Shay Johnson

Love it! on food containers

I've always liked these closed heavy glass jars as I like to cook/bake large batches and then divide them up either after freezing, before cooking or after we've eaten once or twice with them and divided and froze the leftovers. If it doesn't fill the container I either tape a piece of plastic wrap on then eat and then gently roll it over the top of the food before putting the pyrex lid on, or just cover with food in front of the pyrex lid. to avoid freezer burn. It largely depends on how I want to cook or reheat food after defrosting. They stack very well in the freezer - you can freeze them individually and then stack if the foods are allowed to mash before freezing. If I go straight into the oven I never put them right in - I put them in when the oven starts so the jar heats up a little more slowly. Or leave it on low for a while and then turn it back on. The lids of many of my older PYREX products are designed for microwave use, but I've personally ruined many of these by heating them at relatively high temperatures. I believe the warnings on this have recently been changed to only use it in the microwave for reheating and not for cooking.

Pros
  • Original Pyrex; Lids & Jars Made in USA
Cons
  • Slightly torn
