Works exactly as I hoped it would. I bought these for my trip to Disney World where I knew I would be wearing a mask all day. I never had to worry about the mask deflating, it was always right where I wanted it. The thin strap was never heavy or in the way when I wore it. This works much better with my disposable masks than my fabrics (which usually have thicker ear loops that are difficult to put on and take off). Disposable snaps are very easy to put on and take off
