My hair is very fine and these tweezers trim even my coarse hairs either instantly with a light click as soon as I grab them (according to which hair, now cut below skin level, is MUCH more tangled and inflamed than before) OR he curls my little hair into curls like scissors curl ribbon on gift bags. Funny but not functional. They're great for opening pores and loosening stuck hairs, but there are actually better facial extraction tools out there. As soon as he grabs his hair, he clicks! and cuts them instantly, or if I apply the perfect amount of non-shearing pressure and pull very, very gently, it frizzes the hair without removing it. Result: I can't grab and pull out the hair. The workmanship seems high quality to me - the needle nose is clearly a perfect fit, the coating on the metal is comfortable, the metal itself is well finished, the tension is high - but perhaps too effective because it works like scissors on my hair that defeat the purpose.
