Now I have 2 and before moving abroad I had 1. When we moved I even considered taking it with me, but I decided not to pay the movers for it (they usually charge by weight) as it was cheaper to just buy a new one. I never thought I didn't have it. We use them for dry cat food. One of our cats is on a special diet and the other 3 share the food so it's good to have an organized pantry rather than bulky bags of kibble. The easy handling is also a big advantage: a granular product never gets caught in the folds of its bag and falls on the floor. The narrowness is strong. We had a flour moth infestation and the food in that container was the only thing that survived. We also live in a small apartment so it can be warm/humid (no air conditioning) but this never affects the cat food. I'm also thinking about getting one for storing rice! (We don't usually have flakes, but they work great with just about anything you can think of.) The molded handle on the side that you have to hold while pouring is a pro too. I have never dropped them while casting and have been known to do this with other things since I had 2 badly healed fractures in my arm. I believe it will also be helpful for those suffering from arthritis.
