Review on πŸšͺ White St. James Bathroom Storage Linen Cabinet by Teamson Home by Michelle Smith

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The holes are not drilled properly and the whole part is made quite cheaply.

This item looks good on Revain but is not very well made. MDF chips and breaks very easily, and the first one we received was broken internally just from bumps on delivery. The second one Revain sent to replace the broken one appeared intact but when trying to put it back together it has a BIG mistake. The holes for the connector nut are not drilled correctly so the top of the block is not centered on the bottom block. It actually looks ok from the front, but the problem is that the back panels are not flush with the case, the back panels can no longer be screwed on and there is a gap at the back of the case. I was able to "assemble" this by making a small 1.5cm x 1.6cm x 55.5cm piece to attach to the back of the cabinet and screw the back panel to it. I also had to make another small piece to attach the bottom backboard to it and I had to shave off the bottom backboard to make it fit. Then I had to paint both of the extra pieces of wood with white spray paint, wait for them to dry, and drill a few new holes to avoid splitting the small pieces of wood I needed to add. It worked fine in the end, but it took a lot of extra time and effort to get it working. I'm keeping this item because the front looks nice, it's perfect for the corner of the bathroom I bought it for. and now everything is assembled. This would not require deconstruction as the piece would simply fall apart to be taken apart and sent back. But if I had known the link nuts weren't drilled correctly (at the factory) before doing my best to put it back together I would have sent it back to Revain and bought something else. the only one i see that had the same problem so this needs to be dealt with and fixed at the factory. Honestly, I think Elegant Home Fashions owes me for all the trouble I went through to make this closet work, but it probably never will.
