Review on 🎧 KZ-AS12 12BA HiFi Stereo Noise Isolating IEM Earphones/Earbuds/Headphones with Detachable Cable - Cyan, Wired Sports 0.75mm 2PIN (with MIC) by Chris Endricko

Great versatility, very comfortable with correct tips

TL; DR is a great first pair of IEMs, very comfortable with the right spades (third party spades might suit you best), decent quality cables (sometimes tangles but is very easy to untangle), sound is balanced with a slight Emphasis on mids and highs with good bass voices are clear and use for games per second is fantastic with excellent directional sound Why I bought the KZ AS12: I originally used the Corsair HS70 wireless headset and was happy with the sound quality and the wireless factor was enormous benefit. However, as I was stuck in isolation and my college courses went online, I had to wear the HS70 for long periods of time and had discomfort, headaches and even a dent in my hair that didn't work (that's the most important part). I can handle a headache, but I can't look like that guy from The Stooges). In-ear headphones were my solution but my experience with normal ears lacked brilliance and obviously being an expert on finer things I dug deeper and found my YouTube recommendation who always knows exactly what I'm thinking . . He recommended a video by DankPods and it mentioned the KZ ZS10 Pro as a great budget device at a reasonable price. As I researched the ZS10 Pro further, however, I found that some people had issues with the build quality, and I really wanted something that would last a while. So I did what anyone would do and looked at KZ stocks to find a higher numbered pair because the bigger the better. AS16 was obviously my first choice, but as I researched MORE, I found that overpaying really only brings marginal benefits. Even if you don't have the right equipment, you won't be able to enjoy these benefits. Ultimately I chose the AS12 because they were the prettiest and bluest :) and also because they looked small enough to fit comfortably in my asymmetrical ears and a fully balanced armature fit. The driver was attractive for my use case (games per second, competitive challenges, scale challenges, group discussions). I find that with these IEMs the bass is never overpowering, the vocals are always crystal clear and the sound production is good, the instruments and footsteps are well distinguishable, but the noise cancellation comes more from the fact that they're essentially earbuds with speakers in them. rather than anything that's actively noise-cancelling. I chose the included medium sized ear tips as they had the best seal and overall the AS12s are extremely comfortable in the way they fit and are supported by the cable that runs over and behind the ear. I was skeptical at first because I feared the glasses would be uncomfortable, but they weren't. The cable is of good quality but does get tangled at times but untangles fairly easily. The microphone is of the expected quality, at least as good as any included headphones you can get with the new phone. That's great and all, but the real question was, do I still have a dent in my hair? no I don't :) End of review
