Review on ๐Ÿ“ Boogie Board Basics: Reusable Writing Pad with LCD Tablet, Easy Erase, Stylus Pen, Cyan by Ian Bates

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for many uses

My 1 year old granddaughter had one when she came over for Christmas - reminded me of the old school (hooray - I'm old) Etch a Sketch redesigned for the younger generation. She really liked playing with him, but when she went home she didn't think about it anymore. Then my 11-year-old son struggled with his elementary algebra homeworkโ€”he doesn't like writing his work down. After screaming and crying (you can decide who did what), we learned that Mr. Sanity doesn't want to waste paper and wants to kill trees for stationery. OOOkkkaaay - great thought, but you still have to do your homework. Luckily my husband remembered Missy Maggo had it for Christmas and we ordered it. Works GREAT as note paper for him. But I reluctantly gave it 4 stars. We have a second one, the first one seemed to get very bright on ours and my husband thinks the battery is dead. Revain sent a new one perfectly and the return process was as easy as ever. What we don't like about the design is that the battery doesn't look like it's removable. So when he dies, he just disappears and ends up in the e-waste. (No, we didn't tell our son about this, I want him to finish his homework without further protests from around.)

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Pretty but not perfect
