Review on Winsome Wood 98821 Stockton Natural by Danny Lavimodiere

Revainrating 5 out of 5

As a blogger who uses this daily while working on his laptop I am very satisfied.

So I bought this out of sheer desperation because every time I sat down at the kitchen table to write my reviews or blog post my dogs would go crazy for attention. Sitting at my desk was like having my mom on the phone: nobody wants your attention all day, but the moment you try to do something, they just can't wait. However, when I sat on the bed and tried to work or read, the dogs usually lay down and fell asleep. So began my search for a tray/table to use on my bed. I needed a tray/table that: 1. Folded for easy storage.2. Was wide enough for my 16 inch laptop and trackball mouse. 3. There was a ledge to keep the laptop from sliding down. 4. Was wide enough to accommodate my full hips. 5. was big enough not to touch my knees. when I sat in the lotus position. 6. Was AVAILABLE, although not cheap. Looking at reviews of the various table beds and trays on Revain, #6 seems to be the biggest stumbling block in almost every topic I've looked at. I took a chance and figured that for under twenty bucks if I had to send it back I wouldn't lose too much money waiting for the return process (and Revain is, compared to most that I am, relatively painless actually I've been using the Winsome Wood bed tray for a little over 10 months and am very happy with it. Admittedly I was wondering how long it would last as the tray's white material seems fairly nondescript. But I use this product on one daily and for a few hours each day as I blog for at least 3 hours and I have no complaints about it, in fact I was very pleased with how well it met my needs and how well it has held up I should mention it that I had to make a modification to use it, and that has more to do with my laptop than the tray itself. The fact that the "wooden" edges slightly e increased is one of the new reasons why I chose this particular product. I wanted that "lip" so my laptop wouldn't slide off easily. But since my laptop's power cord plugs in on the left side, I had to put some stands under the back of my laptop to elevate it just enough so that the cord doesn't get in the way of the side of the tablet (which are at a forced angle which could interrupt the power cord connection). If my laptop's power cord was plugged in at the back or right side, this wouldn't be a problem at all. Instead of lifting it up as you move you risk it folding over by the legs and DESTROYING the tray. I've done this a few times, and you know what, this is NOT a tray for me. I'd be far more frustrated if I had to struggle with my legs to fold them every time I put them on, rather than fret over the few times I forget to lift and reposition them. Overall I am very happy with this purchase as it met all my needs and is still fully functional almost a year later.
