This piece would go well with a cardigan or blazer but I tried wearing it alone with a skirt and it worked fully visible. I ended up returning it because I couldn't spend close to $70 for something that showed my belly button. In the end I went the other way and was happy with my decision. I'm sure the black bodysuit doesn't show through, but I'm sad I couldn't get the white one to work. For reference, I'm 5'9 and 145lbs. I ordered S/M.
