I bought these drives to have some backups of my photos that have been stored on my laptop for the past few years. I never thought of backing things up until a friend lost all her baby shower, birth, first birthday etc photos because they were just stored on her laptop and it got stolen. I don't want to risk losing my files, so I backed them up twice in case the USB port fails over time. In the end I had enough space on my flash drive to copy everything and had no problems with it. All 5 worked, and after checking I can open the files stored on it. It was a great value and I'm glad I don't have a flash drive fortune.
