Review on Enchantimals Snowman Face Off Sharlotte Squirrel by Brandon Woodson

Another example of high quality Enchantimals

I have all the Enchantimals dolls and sets, over 80 dolls of this size. I can always trust Enchantimals dolls and accessories (excluding pets) to be well-made, detailed, and unique. Articulation of the puppet: head turns from side to side and nods slightly. Shoulders are ball joints. The hip only moves forward. The knees are not articulated. Hair: Brown hair with lots of light blue tinsel strands. The hair is straight but crumpled because it was wrapped in an elastic band for packaging. I had to cut the doll's hair; it arrived with a messy jagged cut. The head is tied to a plastic bag with those horrible plastic ties that are difficult to untie from the head without accidentally cutting the hair. A yellow rubber-plastic cap is attached to the head with plastic ties. I used nail scissors to carefully remove the laces from the hat and head so as not to damage the hair; I parted my hair as much as possible and pinned the tie close to my head, then tucked the remaining piece of plastic into my head. Without plastic straps, the hat fits well on the head, the ears fit into the ear holes. The pink color on the ear flower is a bit sloppy, which is unusual for Enchantimals dolls. Face: The head is in the shape of an open mouth and is similar in design to, but not entirely painted on, the previous Enchantimals squirrel doll. Torso: Leotard painted light blue. As usual, only the front torso is detailed; the rest is solid. As always, I'm not a fan of painted dresses; I would have preferred full outfits like the dolls I had as a child. The torso has a small indentation at the navel just below the waist. The waist is shaped as usual with a dip at the waist to keep the elasticated skirt flat. The tail is worn close to the loin and is made of fluffy fabric with a large visible seam down one side. The length of the hair prevents most of the tail from being seen; Only the tip sticks out, making it look like a piece of bleached hair. Clothing: Detachable skirt with elasticated waistband made from signature Enchantimals fabric with a unique printed pattern. This time the design consists of scattered blue, white and pink snowflakes on a light blue background. She has a pair of yellow plastic gloves. The mittens are difficult to put on the doll's hands due to the splayed fingers, but once the mittens are on, they fit well and will not fall off. Shoes and Feet: The pale pink shoes have a new shape, the smooth part of the shoe is shaped to look like fur on top, with small bows on each side. The boots have a slit on the back so you can easily switch shoes with other dolls. As always with female Enchantimals, the doll's feet are tiptoed, although the shoes are flat. I would prefer the dolls to have flat feet; they look ridiculous barefoot with their toes constantly on tiptoe. Pet Squirrel Squirrel I've never been a fan of most pets. Enchantimals dolls are so cute that pets just aren't their thing. I agree the company is saving money on pets as I would rather have the budget on dolls. The squirrel is made of hard plastic and won't leave marks on your hands like some Enchantimals do. This wintry squirrel's shape differs from the previous squirrel puppet's pet. The squirrel wears a detachable yellow rubber winter hat that matches the doll's hat. The hat fits perfectly on the squirrel's head, close enough to the head that the hat will not fall off even if the pet is held upside down. If you've read my previous reviews of Enchantimals, you may recall that I'm a big proponent of removing that painful, gaping hole in pets' backs, where the edges of the hole are twisted into a hook shape. The hook is designed to attach the pet to the doll's arm - for a reason. The first problem is that it doesn't work; The pet swings forward and hangs like a bag from a stuffed animal. The second problem is if the hook worked, what would it look like: a pet hovering in front of the doll's hand? This is a bug that deserves attention, creepy and ridiculous. Accessories The two snowmen are made of hard plastic and have many small parts to "build" the snowmen. Holes in snowmen hold tiny pieces in a special way. Branch arms can only be placed in a raised arm position. The little snowman has light yellow bells painted on the front (not dark yellow acorns like the picture on the product page) and a painted face. The large snowman has no painted features. Black hard plastic eyes and mouth. The carrot-shaped nose is made of rubbery plastic. The plastic scarf is molded with a knit pattern; it snaps at the snowman's neck and reaches to the middle of the neck. Because the scarf is plastic, it cannot be tied to a doll or small snowman. The hat is made of rubberized plastic and fits snugly on the head so it won't fall off even when the snowman is held upside down. There are three holes for pegs on the front of the snowman. This is the only place where you have a choice of snowman designs; You can choose three acorns, three bluebells, or a combination of acorns and bluebells. Like branches, acorns and bluebells only fit in one specific position. The slides are made of hard plastic. The runners are formed under a tree. The seat is shaped to look soft. The seat has a pin that fits into a hole on the bottom of the squirrel to hold the squirrel in the seat. The doll fits in the seat instead of the squirrel, but since her knees don't bend, she doesn't sit well in the seat.
