Vo - First, most of the negative reviews here are fake. The device is very simple. Fan + evaporator element = cold air. If the evaporation element cannot "evaporate" = no cooling. 1) If you live in the Midwest or East Coast, this device is not for you. 2) If you don't air your room, the room will eventually become too humid for the evaporative element to evaporate = no cooling. Otherwise, if you live somewhere with 40-50% humidity, this is ideal. Ideally on a table that faces you and only cools the area around the table. He can't cool the room. I see so many reviews with unreasonable expectations. They give the impression that something is wrong with the product. This annoys me because I've never done this before (e.g. last summer). Working from home without air conditioning can be challenging on hot summer days. Fans only move air, they don't cool you. This device is ideal for personal cooling. I've been using it for 4-5 hours on the lowest settings connected to a 10000mah power bank, it hasn't even used 20% of the juice yet. Room temperature around 85F, humidity 50%, feels pretty comfortable. I can't say anything about durability yet. The fan is imperceptible on the minimum settings. Anything above that is loud. Loud, as if "a lot of air was being forced through the filter". It's not because the wrong fan is making annoying noises. Come on, you can't expect Dyson-quality sound from these guys who probably only made it with Kickstarter money. This is unreasonable. Unless there are quality issues with the fan, I don't think this unit is going to break anytime soon as it's pretty well made. There is nothing else like this. I would buy again as a gift.
