It's pretty simple and works well. They send a small button cell battery. But it looks like you won't need a battery when recording on your phone. So I don't know exactly what for. But I like the accessories that come with it. And why did I want it. :D Headphones with USB-C are very cool. Hooked it up to my Mac Pro and it worked great! But overall it works fine. I think the sound quality you get from it definitely needs a bit of tweaking to make it sound better. But that's the case with almost everything. Oh, but one small thing. I was trying to get a small microphone clip so I can stick it to my shirt for example. And I broke a little latch so it's probably my fault but you know I super glued it together and I think it will be ok. But that's really the only problem I had.
