So I would recommend shaving your hair thoroughly before use; The better the shave, the better the results. Put goggles on where you shaved and start blinking. I would say use this on the highest settings. Yes, you get hit a little - it doesn't hurt me and you quickly get used to it. You may have to go through certain areas a few times to make sure you get everything. I wouldn't say it's permanent hair removal, rather the hairs you pull out will fall out on their own within about 2 weeks. It will grow back within 5-6 weeks, so repeated treatment is required. In the end, the hair almost completely thins out. This device is not as powerful as in salons, but it is acceptable.
