First of all, they come fully assembled! It's great, nothing to assemble, just take it out of the shipping box and remove the plastic. However, this suggests that you are careful and check your delivery. The first set I bought arrived with one damaged (one leg was split and split). There are no pads between the legs in the box, so any impact can cause damage. Finally after having both and putting them under a small bar table I am very happy with them. They seem to be built pretty solidly, except for the compressed cardboard base of the pillow itself. Not sure if it will hold up, but we'll see. Another issue I have is when I use mine on a carpet and the balance doesn't feel as secure - when it feels like I can lean slightly forward to grab something and in one direction fall. Finally, the cross braces are at the bottom of the legs, making it difficult to tuck them all the way under my claw table without the braces bumping into the claw table legs. They look beautiful and serve a purpose. Not sure I would buy them for everyday use but they work on a pub table in my basement used when company is around.
