These leg warmers are not the best quality but they are cheap and keep my husband and son warm. Circumference is up, not down, or it should be. That is, adjust it so that it will not fall off when you wear it around your face and nose. When the gaiters are worn as a scarf, the drawstring is naturally gathered around the neck. For this reason I would not let a small child wear these. Just in case. In addition, they are versatile and comfortable to wear. Pull them over your nose, tighten and pull forward. They can also be worn as a hat if the end is tightened, although neither my son nor husband want to do this. They're stretchy and warm, albeit not a thick fleece. They are a bit short so cannot be used as a hood or anything like that. Just a protective mask or, if you want or need one, a hat. They keep the kids warm as they go about their daily winter activities. However, they are not suitable for ice fishing or snowmobiling. Not warm enough. For a low price for two, this is a good buy. Versatile, unisex and quite warm. It's also good to use a face covering/mask when out and about.
