I have read a million reviews of playpens and many others have had problems but this one has none. I would rather have a playpen with only 150 5 star reviews than a playpen with thousands of reviews but lots of bad reviews. I chose this playpen because: - the slats/holes are vertical! I've seen other playpens with horizontal slats or round holes at different levels that kids use as climbing ladders - no choking hazard in the activity center! Many playpens don't have activity center panels or small beads or balls. Again, I've seen other arenas where something broke leaving a choking hazard everywhere. The lock is a physical lock, not a spring lock. Some of the very popular playpens featured photos in the lockpicking review which resulted in several small parts including a metal spring. This one uses brute force. The lock can be tricky for an arthritis sufferer as you have to turn it quite hard to lock/unlock it. - Small legs under the panels are large. Some others had small round pieces of rubber that (again) could pose a choking hazard. This is the length and width of the pill bottles. They are also very tightly connected! While one playpen is sufficient for my needs, you can easily order two and mix and match. Each panel is individual and can be divided or combined as desired. I was a little nervous as this one had fewer reviews than the other. My playpen was actually mis-shipped (due to a UPS error - no one's fault) and I was nervous about what was going to happen as this seller is smaller than the others. You immediately have a new arena!
