I have used several self tanners. I used to use Fake Bake and still do occasionally, but the color I got with this self tanner is beautiful. It gives my skin a real bronze tone. My skin looks silky and almost has a slight sheen. This is the best color I've gotten from a self tan lotion. It's a bit tricky to apply as it remains transparent on the skin so you have to be careful of every area you apply it to. It took me multiple applications to get an even tan just because I have two kids and would have rushed to apply. The color is very beautiful, dark and I even applied it to my face. Applying self-tanner to my hands has always been a little difficult for me, but I've learned to apply it to any areas I want to tan with my bare hand, and then finally apply it to my hands like regular lotion, whereby I have to be careful to rub my fingertips and everything else in between. in my palms. Then come back with baby wipes and gently wipe the lotion off your fingernails, palms, outer edges of the palm, and between your fingers. If you don't do this, your nails will turn brown and look unnatural. Since using this application method, my hands look very naturally tanned. I apply it right before bed and after bathing and shaving. It didn't soil my sheets, but after applying it, I wear long sleeves, pants, and socks (because I have young children who love to snuggle up at night); However, my face didn't soil my pillowcase, and if I get hot at night and I take off a few layers, it doesn't get dirty. The color also lasts longer than previous self tanners I've used. I exercise almost every day and sweat a lot, wear an Apple Watch to keep up with activity and there is what appears to be a tan line from wiping off the self tan. However, it looks like a real tan line from wearing the watch. The color lasts a long time, so apply carefully and gently! I wish they would offer this in a bigger bottle. I use this weekly and more than weekly when I want to be very dark.
