I've been looking for years for a patch that works just as well. I am blind in my left eye due to optic nerve damage. This means my eyes work well together even though I only see with my right eye. I rarely use an eye patch at home or in small groups because I can do my best and I don't have to text while wearing an eye patch. That changes when I go to malls, crowded restaurants, or anywhere else where a lot of people go, including small children. Avoid getting hit or worse. Patches have often saved me from having to apologize or explain when I accidentally hit someone. The patch is especially useful for young children and their parents. But finding the right size that was easy for me to wear wasn't easy. They move on an elastic cord that doesn't hold them in place. I had to constantly adjust the patches and try not to look like I had a patch covering a spot near my eye. This patch is the answer for me. It works well and is easy to use. I'm finally happy with the patch. My only concern as I've only been using it for a day or so is that it's heavier than others and can be problematic [hot] in the summer months. However, I do know that I can count on it [in Maryland] from October until next summer. And yes, my eye opens, closes or squints easily under the bandage and wears well with my reading glasses and other glasses.
