If you've lived long enough you know that steel bases in steel sockets in wet outdoor areas can cause the base and socket to rust together over time, and when you try to remove and replace the lamp the glass simply detaches from the base .Spin a 1 minute task instead of a 1 hour task, dig up the ground with needle nose pliers and possibly destroy the mount. Ask me how I know. That doesn't happen with a brass base. If you want a brass base, you can still get SATCO 11W brass bulbs here at Revain from 20/06/2021, but be prepared to pay a lot more than steel base incandescent bulbs.
