In our house there was an open well of a sump pump. We thought it would be a good idea to caulk it and add a pump. Installation was pretty easy, you need to buy concrete screws and sealant. Many extra caps are included in the package so you can choose the right one for whatever size pipe you run through the cap. Once the collar is secured to the base, screw on the cap using the parts provided. The total installation time was about an hour (not counting the sump pump piping). In general it looks clean and there is a handy window through which you can look into the fountain. If you need coverage, it should cover you and be worth the investment.
